Most LUTs sell you a look. Simple LUTS sells you the truth to build it on. In short, I build calibrated LUTs from real measurements, so your colour is right before the grade starts.

Simple LUTS began because I got tired of colour packs that guess. Too many makers build them by eye, on someone else’s footage. As a result, they fall apart on yours. Meanwhile, the high end has always done it differently: they measure. So that is where I started.

I leave the artistry to the colourists, and I handle the science. Every camera and every filter brand I build for sits on my own shelf. Then I shoot through them in real conditions: rain, harsh sun, flat overcast. Next, I read the result on an X-Rite colour chart and a vectorscope. Finally, I build a LUT calibrated to that exact combination: your camera, your filter brand, your ND stop.

What you get is the hard part, done right: a clean, accurate Rec.709 conversion. In other words, a true neutral starting point. So drop on a creative LUT, hand it to a colourist, or push it yourself. Of course, the look stays your call. My job is simply to make sure it rests on solid ground, not on a guess.

  • Measured, not guessed. I calibrate every LUT on a chart and read it on a scope, per camera, per filter, per stop. Doubt it? Then put mine next to any other pack on a vectorscope, because the scope does not lie.
  • Built for real conditions. I do not tune these in a lab. Instead, I shoot in the weather and light you actually work in, so they hold up when the shot gets hard.
  • A range that runs deep. The line covers the iPhone 17 Pro, the Sony FX series, GoPro and DJI. Each camera also gets its own calibrated set, and the same obsessive method runs through all of them.
  • Made by one person, not a factory. Decades of experience sit behind every LUT. Before anything ships, I test it on my own paid work. If it is not right, it does not go out.
