Our LUTs are calibrated against a 5600K daylight white balance and base ISO. Match these settings to keep your footage’s colour foundation neutral and noise-free.
What’s inside your Sony FX3 LUT pack
Calibrated on the FX3 and FX30. Also compatible with other Sony cameras shooting S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine and ProRes Raw in 10-bit — including the FX2, A1, A9 III, A7S III, A7 IV, A7R V, A7C II and ZV-E1. ND filter packs are calibrated specifically for the FX3/FX30.
Supported ND filter brands: PolarPro Peter McKinnon Edition II, Freewell Standard & Bright Day VND, K&F True Color VND, Freewell K2, and NiSi Swift True Color VND (coming soon).
The FX3/30 has no internal ND, so every Simple LUT is matched to a specific external filter — your colour stays accurate no matter which brand you shoot.

ProRes Raw: calibrated with no Raw-to-Log or camera LUT applied in your editing platform’s Raw settings. Both S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine and ProRes Raw LUTs are conformed to Rec.709.
SONY FX3/30 - Setup Guidelines
Here’s a simple setup guide for the Sony FX3/30 to get optimal video quality, with an emphasis on using Simple LUTs and ND filters.
Set White Balance
Lock the white balance at 5600K for consistent colour temperature, especially outdoors in daylight — a solid foundation for grading with Simple LUTs.
Adjust ISO
Set ISO to the lowest base value to reduce noise and keep the cleanest image. Crucial for maintaining footage integrity when applying LUTs in post.
Adjust Frame Rate
Choose your frame rate for the look — 24fps for cinematic feel, 50/60fps for slow-motion flexibility. Consistent frame rates keep your LUTs uniform across shots.
Set Shutter Speed
Set shutter speed to double your frame rate (e.g. 1/50–1/60 at 25–30fps) for natural motion blur — the 180-degree rule essential for a cinematic look. For slow motion, try 50p/60p with 1/100–1/120 shutter.
Use ND Filters
The FX3/30 relies on external ND filters to control exposure without changing shutter speed or ISO. Use a quality VND from the brands on our list — each Simple LUT is calibrated to that specific filter, so colour stays accurate at every stop.
