Is it hue or is it me?

Why is it so important to have true colour representation when using conversion LUTs? Well, other than the obvious, all your colours will be represented correctly, and any additional finishing or creative LUTs you apply on top will also be shown in their true form.

The best results come from consistent camera settings. Keep your white balance locked to 5600K (native if using the GoPro Hero series). It’s the most important step, and once done, it’s set and forget.

From ND4 to ND64

Each LUT is individually calibrated using the major ND brands, white balance cards, colour checker charts and decades of colour-correction experience. The result is nothing less than precision.

It’s educational too. Every pack comes with everything you need to get started: how to install the LUTs, the correct camera settings, and YouTube videos covering all the details. From ND4 to ND64, whether shooting Log or HLG, you’ll learn the right ND stop for the right conditions.

...it's about the BRAND!

Precision, not guesswork

Most LUTs on the market are guesses dressed up as science. Someone shot a chart in their bedroom, eyeballed it on a laptop screen, called it done. No calibrated monitor. No scopes. No output box. Simple LUTS aren’t that.

We tested in the rain, in 40-degree heat, on location, in real conditions, on real client jobs. Because a LUT calibrated in a controlled studio doesn’t behave the same way when the sun hits it at 2pm on a Melbourne summer day. Real cameras, real filters, real light.

The output is true Rec.709 conversion. Clean footage in, clean colour out. What your colourist does with it after that is the fun part.

True Rec.709 Conversions

Every pack is built against an X-Rite colour checker on the actual camera it’s calibrated for, then verified on a vectorscope. Every ND filter brand (Freewell, PolarPro, K&F, SmallRig, GoPro HB Series) has its own dedicated pack because every filter shifts colour differently. Every ND stop has its own LUT because every stop shifts it more. That’s what “precision-calibrated” actually means. No guessing.

Conversion LUTs built per camera and ND filter

Every Simple LUTS conversion pack is calibrated against an X-Rite colour checker on the actual camera and ND filter it’s built for. No guessing. No generic look files. Explore the packs for the Sony FX6, Sony FX3/30, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, GoPro Hero 11, 12 & 13, and iPhone 17 Pro — each one calibrated to the same standard.
