Simple LUTS – Sony FX3/30
Simple LUTS are precision-tuned conversion LUTs, calibrated against an X-Rite colour chart and verified on a vectorscope for every camera, every filter brand we support, and every ND stop. No guessing. No “close enough.” Just consistent, accurate colour straight out of the box, so you spend less time correcting and more time creating.
Compatible with any Sony camera that supports SLog3/S-Gamut3.Cine.

Sony FX3/30 Conversion LUTs
Precision-calibrated conversion LUTs for the Sony FX3, FX30 and compatible Sony mirrorless cameras. Built from real-world footage, calibrated against X-Rite colour checker and white balance cards, and tuned per external ND filter brand and stop. Compatible with S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine and ProRes Raw profiles, conformed to Rec.709.
The FX3 and FX30 have no internal ND filters, so external ND filters control your exposure. Each filter brand introduces its own colour cast at every ND stop. Simple LUTS measures that shift and corrects for it. No guessing.
Supported ND filter brands include PolarPro Peter McKinnon Edition II, Freewell Standard and Bright Day VND, K&F True Color VND, Freewell K2, and NiSi Swift True Color VND.
These LUTs also work with other Sony mirrorless cameras shooting S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine in 10-bit. Compatible models include the A1, A9 III, A7S III, A7 IV, A7R V, A7C II and ZV-E1.
ND stops included across all brands are ND4, ND8, ND16, ND32, ND32 WS (Winter Sun — calibrated for lower colour temperature light), ND64, and No ND CL5600K for controlled lighting environments.
Settings & Workflow
The Sony FX3 FX30 shoots S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine.
Every LUT is calibrated with white balance locked at 5600K and ISO at the lowest base value. Set your shutter speed to double your frame rate — 24fps = 1/50, 50p = 1/100, 60p = 1/120.
S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine captures maximum dynamic range and the flattest image. That flat log footage needs converting to look right, which is exactly what these LUTs do.
Your pack includes matching S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine monitor LUTs for each ND stop. Load them into the camera or an external monitor like an Atomos for on-set monitoring.
Apply ProRes Raw LUTs with no Raw-to-Log or camera LUT enabled in your editing platform’s Raw settings. Drop the matching LUT onto your footage in FCPX, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro, match the ND filter brand and stop. Done.
Simple LUTS are also available for the Sony FX6, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and GoPro Hero 11, 12 & 13 — all calibrated to the same standard.
